We visit many foreign places on our holidays, and post photos. Occasionally we take a photo or two in our home town of London, England. But I recently took a friend, on the bus, from my part of London to one across the river and quite some distance from my home. In order to get to our destination, we passed through several other districts of London, ones that I don't know, with lovely lamp-posts - our current obsession - and decorative features on the houses. So the idea for this blog was born. Photos will be posted, a brief history will be added, if I'm not too lazy, and a pleasant outing will be enjoyed.
We don't plan to do much before Christmas, which is creeping up on us rapidly, although we have a concert to attend, at St. James's Piccadilly. The area is full of photo opportunities! So it is likely to start properly in the New Year. I just wanted to get it started, so I might actually take it seriously. Watch this space.
